ADAS is safety sensors, cameras and radar systems that assist the driver to detect pre collision situations. These sensors are in the front & rear bumpers, side mirrors (blind spot indicators). These sensors must be re-calibrated after being removed by Autobody techs to repair a vehicle, if there is a camera up against the front windshield it must be re-calibrated if a new windshield is installed. All car manufacturers require these sensors for be calibrated to manufacture specifications upon being repaired. This ensures the vehicle operates safely as it was designed to. Adaptive headlights must be reprogrammed upon being replaced/repaired as well.
